Description

NGC 1365, also known as the Great Barred Spiral Galaxy, is a double-barred spiral galaxy about 75 million light-years away in the constellation Fornax and about 201,700 to 306,800 light years across.  The two outer spiral arms spreads over around 300,000 light-years. Its has an apparent visual of 10 and  and apparent visual size  of   11 arcminutes.
This is a wide field image take with a RedCat 71 on a AM5 Mount with the ASI 2600 MM Mono CMOS Camera.

This is an object I have enjoyed at the eye piece on many occasions, both at Crago Observatory on a 16" F7 and at the ASNSW's dark site Wiruna through telescopes up to 25 inches.

So much easier with the Redcat 71 than trying to mosaic the field in the 127!
